Are you at a crossroads in life relative to your business or your position in the marketplace? Are you beginning to feel outside of your comfort zone? Do you find your peace diminishing in your present situation?

Perhaps God desires to shift alignments or make course corrections in your life, in your business or in your position in the marketplace. The most rewarding, satisfying state in life, which offers the greatest level of peace, is when you are in the center of God's perfect will. PRAYER will be the key to unlocking the doors God plans to open for you as well as locking doors He plans to close in your life. (Revelation 3:7)

So where do you begin? First, confess the Word of God. Rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal scriptures for your situation. I often begin with Proverbs 3:4-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths," and Isaiah 48:17, which assures me that God will lead me in the way I should go.

Next, listen for the voice of God (John 10:27). Believe that you hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and the voice of a stranger you will not follow. Stay in God's presence via prayer and meditation.

I also suggest that you fast  regularly and spend time in God's Word and in God's presence. Fasting allows you to hear more clearly from God while fasting (Acts 13:2-3).

Last, pray in the Spirit. Your spirit man will be edified. As you pray in Spirit, pray that your mind is made fruitful (1 Corinthians 14: 4, 13, 14).

I followed these principles in 1998 which led me to serve in the JBS, to discover my present position in the marketplace, and to make investment decisions that I am benefitting from 18 years later.

Don't be surprised if God makes frequent alignment shifts/course corrections to keep you in His perfect will for your life. Course corrections are often made in a variety of "natural" situations from space exploration to airline travel to even road trips to assure that you reach the proper destination. God will do the same to ensure the same results in your personal and business life.

As you wholly submit to confessing the Word, listening for the voice of the Lord, fasting and praying in the Spirit, you will see God orchestrating changes and shifting alignments in your life, your business or your position in the marketplace, bringing you in His perfect will. Prayer will open the eyes of your understanding (Ephesians 1:18) and guide you in the direction you should go. God's peace will be present as He leads you through these life shifts, so allow it to be your umpire and rule in your heart (Philippians 4:7, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, Isaiah 26:3).
